Robotic and Minimally Invasive Surgery
Advanced Surgical Techniques Equal Quicker Recovery Time
Our ObGyn surgeons utilize minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques when appropriate, which can help reduce your post-operative recovery time. We individualize treatment recommendations and make sure to take the most medically conservative approach.
We Offer a Range of Surgical Options for Women Partners in Health ObGyn Patients
A few of our specialized ObGyn procedures include:
Hysteroscopy: In this minimally invasive technique, your ObGyn surgeon inserts a thin, lighted camera through the vagina and cervix into the cavity of the uterus. Hysteroscopy allows your ObGyn to determine if there are any conditions within the uterus that might require further attention or treatment. In some cases, your surgeon will diagnose and treat the problem in a single procedure.
Laparoscopy: The laparoscope is a tool used in an outpatient procedure that uses a telescopic device that allows the physician to see the inside of the abdomen by using a lighted camera. We perform laparoscopy to identify possible causes of infertility, pelvic or abdominal pain; for treatment of endometriosis, ovarian cysts, or adhesions; or for permanent sterilization.
Myomectomy: Uterine fibroids are growths associated with the uterine lining or muscle that can cause abnormal bleeding, painful periods, pelvic pain, or infertility. The surgical removal of fibroids from the uterus is called a myomectomy. Myomectomy leaves the uterus in place in order to preserve childbearing potential.
Hysterectomy: A hysterectomy is the removal of the uterus for conditions such as uterine fibroids, pelvic floor prolapse, abnormal uterine bleeding, or cancer that cannot be treated with non-surgical methods. There are several different types of hysterectomies; your ObGyn will discuss the most appropriate option(s) based on your health history, diagnosis, and physical condition.
