Founded by four ovarian cancer survivors, the Be the Difference Foundation is dedicated to helping women currently fighting ovarian cancer. The Foundation supports programs which help increase ovarian cancer survival rates, and raises funds for research to help improve treatments and find a cure.

Every year, 22,000 women will receive an ovarian cancer diagnosis, and every year 15,000 will die from the disease. Sadly, these numbers have not improved over the past 30 years, in part because we still do not have a reliable way to detect ovarian cancer in its early stages.

Be the Difference Foundation is devoted to ovarian cancer programs and research

The Foundation is trying to “be the difference” by helping educate women and create awareness of ovarian cancer, as well as raising funds for researchers working toward better treatments, and ultimately, a cure.

“As obgyns, we are eager to support the Be the Difference Foundation in efforts to provide local programs to help women with ovarian cancer and to raise money for research,” said Dr. Reich. “We plan to spin away the hours to show our support. We’d love to have as many patients and people from the Austin community as possible support our efforts to raise money for a cause dear to our hearts.”
