Vanessa Yium, M.D.

Dr. Vanessa Yium has been with Women Partners in Health since 2003. She enjoys caring for women throughout all phases of life from adolescence, through childbearing, and into menopause. She believes in a holistic approach to women’s health and strives to provide women with a listening ear and information to allow them to understand their bodies. Dr. Yium has special interests in sexual health and minimally invasive surgery as an alternative to major surgery.

Dr. Yium earned a BA in History with highest honors at The Colorado College in Colorado Springs, CO. She attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, and completed her residency at Parkland in Dallas, where she was Chief Resident.

Dr. Yium is an active member of the medical community and Seton Medical Center, where she serves on the Perinatal Council. She has two children, Luke and Sydney, and enjoys being involved in their schools and activities. She is an Austin native who has been running marathons since 2000, loves yoga, and skiing.
