    Visit lasts 1 - 1 ½ hours with MD
    Discuss genetic screening options

2nd Visit 10 - 14 wks. First Screen or Sequential Screen @ Texas Perinatal Group
  10 - 15 wks. Listen for the baby's heart beat
    Genetics counseling at Texas Perinatal Group if 35 y/o or if your family history is positive for abnormality(s)
  15 - 17 wks. Maternal Serum Screening Test, if desired

3rd Visit 15 - 20 wks. Routine visit
    Register now for prenatal classes, to reserve a space (20+ weeks)
    Pre-register for admission to Seton Medical Center
  18 - 22 wks. Anatomic screening by ultrasound, to be scheduled here with our Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, Anita Elizondo or Machel Forrester or at Texas Perinatal Group.

ALL REMAINING VISITS: 24 - 28 wks. Routine visits every 2 - 4 weeks
    Screening for Gestational Diabetes and Anemia
    Rhophylac for indicated Rh neg. patients (at 28 weeks)
    Initiate classes - Childbirth, Breastfeeding, Infant CPR & Baby Care Basics
    Select a Pediatrician
  28 - 36 wks. Routine visits every 2 - 3 weeks
    Begin keeping track of the Fetal Kick Count on a daily basis at 32 weeks (see handout)
  37 wks. Baby is considered term
  36 - 41 wks. Begin weekly visits
    Group B Strep Screen (GBS)
  40 wks. Due date
  40 - 41 wks. Non stress test and ultrasound after 41 wks.
  42 wks. Upper limit of length of normal pregnancy
    Probable scheduled Induction
