All of the physicians at Women Partners in Health provide obstetric care to women with pregnancies that are considered "high-risk." A high-risk pregnancy means that the pregnancy is at increased risk of fetal or maternal complications. There are many factors that can cause a pregnancy to be considered as "high-risk," such as:

Chronic medical problems, such as diabetes or asthma
Hypertensive disorders
Twins, Triplets, or higher orders of multiples
Viral infections
Obesity
Blood disorders
Advanced maternal age
Genetic disorders
Substance abuse
Fetal anomalies
Chronic Renal Disease
Seizure disorder
Maternal cardiac disease
Hyperthyroidism
Trauma

Your provider will monitor you closely during pregnancy. Your condition may require more frequent visits to the office and/or consultation with other specialists. Our goal is to keep you as healthy as possible during your pregnancy and post-partum period. If you have any special concerns or questions regarding your condition during pregnancy, please ask your physician.
