Madeleine Katz, CNM

Originally from Portland Oregon, Madeleine always had an interest in working in reproductive healthcare.

It was while assisting births as a doula in the Bay Area alongside certified nurse-midwives in the hospital that she decided to pursue a career as a CNM. After graduating with honors with a BA in Anthropology at San Francisco State University, she then went to Columbia University and received a BSN in nursing then a Master’s degree in midwifery. While studying in New York City she had the opportunity to work with a diverse population in public hospitals throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Bronx.

After graduating, Madeleine provided care to an underserved population with a federally qualified health care center in Connecticut. In Fall of 2016 Madeleine relocated and made Austin her new home when she joined Women Partners in Health.

As a midwife, she is focused on providing women’s health care that is evidence-based, compassionate, and always mindful of the individual. In Madeleine’s free time she is most often outdoors hiking with her husband, traveling, or in a yoga class. She is thrilled to join such a warm and supportive team at Women Partners in Health.
