Dr. Laura Eastep is an Alabama native who was raised in Southeast Texas.
She received her undergraduate degree from Lamar University in her hometown of Beaumont, Texas, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. She received her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She continued in Galveston for her residency training at UTMB, where she served as Administrative Chief Resident, also receiving several “Golden Apple” awards for medical student teaching. Throughout her career, she has practiced in both St Louis and Atlanta and is very excited to be back home in Texas.
Dr. Eastep is board certified, and her professional interests include routine and high-risk obstetrics, comprehensive women’s health including preventative medicine, family planning, nutrition, and adolescent education. She believes in empowering women by giving them the support and knowledge they need to be at their best health, at any age, both mentally and physically. She considers it a privilege to care for women at all stages of life, from adolescence to menopause and beyond.
Dr. Eastep’s personal passions include health, fitness, and nutrition. She enjoys strength training, running, biking, kayaking, cooking, traveling with her husband, and spending time with their dog and cat.
