Dr. Amy Kung joined Women Partners in Health in 2012.
She graduated cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis, majoring in Psychology and Psychology/Neuroscience/Philosophy. She attended medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis.
Dr. Kung completed her residency as an Administrative Chief Resident at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where she gained a vast amount of experience with high-risk obstetrics and developed a love for minimally invasive procedures. Women Partners in Health, a care center of CTOA, impressed her with their commitment to excellence in women’s healthcare. Austin seemed to be the perfect fit with its progressive environment and multitude of outdoor activities. It was easy for her to make the move to become an Austinite!
It was in Houston where Dr. Kung also discovered her love for Houston’s exquisite cuisine. However, she found herself longing for more of an outdoors environment to help foster her active lifestyle.
Dr. Kung also loves farmers markets, trying out new restaurants and food trucks, reading, playing tennis, and hiking.
