Dr. Vanessa Yium is thrilled to be joining Women's Partner's in Health. She is an Austin native who went to Colorado College for her undergraduate education with a bachelor's in
history. She then received her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Yium completed her OB/GYN residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, where she received several awards
including: intern of the year, the award for medical student teaching, and Chief Resident. She was board certified by the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is a fellow of the ACOG. She enjoyed private practice in Dallas for two years before returning home to Austin once her husband finished his
residency training. Dr. Yium and her husband, Michael, spend their free time chasing their son Luke, who was born in July, 2002. They also enjoy
biking, running, backpacking and travel. |
